*Housekeeping Lead

Simpson Park Camp is a Christian Campground located at the corner of Gates and Campground Road in Romeo, MI.  We are looking to create a team of reliable, service-oriented people to staff our camp.  We have opportunities for our Facilities and Grounds team for your consideration.

 

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for the cleanliness of the camp and the readiness of the camp when new groups are coming in. The position will work closely with the Operations Manager with regular reporting of the condition of the camp. It is a summer seasonal position reporting directly to the Operations Manager and Camp Director.

 

Position: 36 Hours/Week                                                                                                                                          Annual Rate: $15/hr                                                                                                                                                                                        

Reports to: Operations Manager

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Living a life that honors the Lordship of Jesus Christ

  2. Be in agreement with the Simpson Park Camp’s Statement of Faith

  3. Able to give direction and see what is needed to be done

  4. Able to lift up to 40 LBS

  5. Character that pushes for Teamwork 

  6. Ability to clean and use cleaning products

  7. Organized and Neat in work

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assisting in daily tasks of cleaning of the buildings around the camp

  2. Ensure safety in the workplace by means of safe practices for staff and guests and staying compliant to all rules and regulations.

  3. Ensure that all cleanings are being accomplished and to an appropriate standard

  4. In days of transition, be able to prioritize and delegate work to the team

*Facilities and Grounds Team Member

Simpson Park Camp is a Christian Campground located at the corner of Gates and Campground Road in Romeo, MI.  We are looking to create a team of reliable, service-oriented people to staff our camp.  We have opportunities for our Facilities and Grounds team for your consideration.

 

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for being the support role to that Facilities and Grounds Manager. The main functions may include mowing, routine maintenance, field lining, leaf removal, and overall beautification of the Grounds. The position will work closely with the Facilities and Grounds Manager with regular reporting about the condition of the camp. It is a year-round position functioning as part of the SPC Camp Office staff.

 

Position: 30 Hours/Week                                                                                                                                          Annual Rate: $16/hr                                                                                                                                                                            

Reports to: Facilities and Grounds Manager

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Living a life that honors the Lordship of Jesus Christ

  2. Be in agreement with the Simpson Park Camp’s Statement of Faith

  3. Willingness to Work Outdoors in Rain or Shine

  4. Able to lift up to 100 LBS

  5. Character that pushes for Teamwork 

  6. Ability to use simple and power tools

  7. Willing to Learn

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assisting in daily tasks of taking care of the grounds and buildings around the camp

  2. Ensure safety in the workplace by means of safe building practices and staying compliant to all rules and regulations.

  3. Support the Facilities and Grounds Manager in tasks and help in the work at hand.

  4. Ensure the grounds and facilities are in top condition for guests and visitors on the grounds.

*Kitchen and Housekeeping Team Member

Simpson Park Camp is a Christian Campground located at the corner of Gates and Campground Road in Romeo, MI.  We are looking to create a team of reliable, service-oriented people to staff our camp.  We have opportunities for our Facilities and Grounds team for your consideration.

 

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for assisting in the daily tasks in either the kitchen or with the housekeeping team. The daily task depends on which team but may be as follows: doing dishes, preparing food, serving food, taking out the trash, filling drink dispensers, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping/mopping. The position will work closely with the kitchen lead and housekeeping lead of the camp. It is a seasonal summer position reporting directly to the Lead and Operational Manager.

 

Position: 36 Hours/Week                                                                                                                                          Annual Rate: $12/hr                                                                                                                                                                            

Reports to: Kitchen Lead/Housekeeping Lead

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  2. Be in agreement with the Simpson Park Camp’s Statement of Faith

  3. Able to lift up to 40 LBS

  4. Character that pushes for Teamwork 

  5. Ability to use kitchen and cleaning equipment

  6. Willing to Learn

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assisting in daily tasks of kitchen or housekeeping around the camp

  2. Ensure safety in the workplace by means of safe practices and staying compliant to all rules and regulations.

  3. Support the Kitchen and Housekeeping Leads in tasks and help in the work at hand.

  4. Ensure the work done is to the highest standard to ensure the camp is in top condition for guests and visitors on the grounds.
